Knit (and finish!) the Christmas stocking your family will treasure for generations.
Join us for Christmas in July as we cast on a charming 1945 vintage Christmas stocking, thoughtfully updated by Jane for modern knitting in the round with stranded colorwork.
We'll meet once a month, focusing on a different section of the stocking each class. You'll receive expert instruction, helpful tips and tricks, plus the guidance and accountability to keep your project moving. By starting in July, you'll finish well before Christmas—with plenty of time to knit a second stocking if you'd like.
This beloved stocking has been part of Jane's family since 1945, when her grandmother began knitting one for every child in the family. Today, Jane continues that tradition—and will help you begin one of your own.
This class is perfect for knitters who love vintage style, enjoy learning in community, or want to create a meaningful family tradition.
You'll learn: Duplicate stitch, basic sock construction, chart reading, stranded colorwork techniques, and Jane's favorite tips and tricks for stress-free colorwork.
Dates: Wednesdays, July 22, August 26, September 23 & October 28
Time: 5:30–7:00 pm
Skills: Comfortable knitting in the round. Stranded colorwork experience is helpful but not required.
