- Long Tail Cast On (LTCO)
- Create upper back and neck
- Increases: Knit Left Loop (KLL), Knit Right Loop (KRL), Purl Left Loop (PLL), Purl Right Loop (PRL)
WEEK 2
Section II: Create Shoulders
- Double check gauge
- Create shoulder tops
- Right Shoulder: Pick Up And Knit (PUTK) stitches. Complete Right Shoulder per pattern. If using one, long circ, slide Right Shoulder sts from left to right needle.
- Left Shoulder: PUTK sts and complete per pattern.
Section III: Join & Create Sleeve Tops
- How to knit around a corner: Modified Magic Loop (MML)
- Eliminate selvage stitches: Slip Slip Knit (SSK), Knit 2 Together (K2Tog)
- Place colored markers to separate sweater sections
WEEK 3
Section IV: Finish Yoke Using Your Worksheet
Fill out worksheet in class:
- Starting stitch counts for each section
- Number of rows for yoke - fill in increases
- Ending stitch counts
- Review types of increases
- Areas for fit modifications
WEEK 4
Completing Your Cocoknits Method Sweater
- Try on sweater
- Add stitches and customize for sleeve and body if necessary
- Knit across body
- Place sleeve stitches on holder
- Cast on stitches under arm; add stitches for customized fit
- More time to knit and finish sweater
